Rodrygo Goes: Real Madrid’s “Rookie”

Rodrygo is still young, but his contribution to Real Madrid over the years has been huge, especially in the 2021-2023 season, when the Spanish Royal team won La Liga and the European Cup 1.

Rodrygo was born on January 9, 2001 in Brazil. This player joined the Santos training center when he was only 10 years old and initially trained in the futsal team before switching to 11-a-side football. From 2017 to 2019, Rodrygo played 49 matches, scoring 9 goals for Santos, so he attracted the attention of many teams in Europe.

In 2018, Real Madrid reached an agreement to recruit Rodrygo and the two sides signed a contract in June 2019. Real Madrid had to pay 45 million Euros to sign the striker born in 2001.

Like many other young players coming to Real Madrid, Rodrygo had to play in the B team. With his talent, the Brazilian player quickly affirmed his ability and was called up to the first team of the White Vulture.
