Bellingham fires Real Madrid into Spanish Super Cup final
Jude Bellingham scores again to help Real Madrid to a 3-0 win over Mallorca in Saudi Arabia
Rodrygo celebrated his 24th birthday by calling game in Real Madrid’s semifinal win 🎂
Bellingham, who led Real Madrid in goals last season, started the campaign slowly before bursting into action with seven goals in his last eight La Liga games. The England midfielder added another in the 63rd minute of the Super Cup semi-final, a stubborn Mallorca side. Bellingham scored with Real Madrid’s third shot in a row, after Rodrygo had initially hit the post, and goalkeeper Dominik Greif saved Kylian Mbappe’s follow-up effort.
Real Madrid added two more late in stoppage time, with Mallorca’s Martin Valjent scoring an own goal when he accidentally deflected Brahim Diaz’s cross into the net in the 90+2 minute. Rodrygo scored the winner for Real Madrid three minutes later. The match ended with a brief brawl after the final whistle, before calm returned. The incident began when Bellingham slapped Mallorca defender Pablo Maffeo on the back of the head – who had been involved in a heated duel with Vinicius Junior during the match.
