After the penalty shootout win, Man United’s social media admin provocatively taunts Arsenal and Mikel Arteta with posts on X

After knocking Arsenal out of the FA Cup, Manchester United’s social media team didn’t hold back, delivering a series of provocative posts on X that rubbed salt in the wounds of the Gunners and manager Mikel Arteta.

The club’s initial response to their penalty shootout win was a simple yet pointed one-word post: “Justice.” This comment seemed to directly reference Kai Havertz’s critical miss during the shootout, which had been a focal point of controversy throughout the match.

Havertz had earlier won a penalty in the second half by going down softly, leading to a where Harry Maguire appeared to call him a “cheat,” igniting a brawl between the two teams. Martin Odegaard then attempted to convert the penalty but was thwarted by a stunning save from Altay Bayindir, keeping the game tied and necessitating extra time and penalties.

Havertz’s struggles continued as his weak spot-kick was saved during the shootout, leading to Arsenal’s premature exit from the tournament. In light of this, United’s social media admin claimed that “justice” had been served, further highlighting Havertz’s misfortunes.

To add to the mockery, Manchester United took a jab at Arteta after the match, referencing his recent comments about the Carabao Cup ball’s differing characteristics. Following their defeat to Newcastle, Arteta had said, “It’s just different… it flies different… the grip is very different as well.”

In response, United’s official accounts cheekily posted: “This ball flies a lot,” poking fun at Arteta’s remarks while celebrating their victory at the Emirates.
