Vinicius opens up about his Champions League dreams, his Brazilian roots, and his appearance as a cowboy in Pepsi’s latest campaign

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior shared how his dream of playing in the Champions League took shape during his childhood in Brazil.

Growing up, he watched Europe’s elite teams compete in the prestigious tournament, and at just 18, he fulfilled that dream by joining Madrid from Flamengo. Since then, he has celebrated winning the coveted trophy twice, most recently scoring in the final as Real Madrid triumphed over Borussia Dortmund 2-0 last season.

Reflecting on his path from fan to player, Vinicius said, “As a kid in Brazil, I vividly remember racing home from school to catch the start of European matches. I was captivated, dreaming of one day stepping onto those pitches. Watching my idols in the Champions League inspired me greatly—fueling my desire to play at the highest level.”
