Vini Jr, Courtois, and Jude Bellingham shine at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai 🤍😍
Ronaldo was recognized as the Best Player based in the Middle East and received a custom trophy for being the all-time top goal scorer.
Earlier, Vinicius Junior won the FIFA Best Men’s Player of the Year award at a ceremony in Doha, while Barcelona’s Aitana Bonmati won the women’s award for the second consecutive time.
This latest accolade comes two months after Vinicius finished second in the Ballon d’Or, an event Real Madrid chose to skip upon learning that Manchester City midfielder Rodri was set to win.
This time, however, Vinicius was present to accept his award in person, as he is in Qatar preparing for the Intercontinental Cup final against Mexico’s Pachuca on Wednesday.
“Thank you very much. I don’t know where to start. It was unimaginable to reach this point. I grew up in a world of poverty and organized crime. This is for all the children who grow up in that environment. I appreciate everyone who voted for me,” Vinicius expressed on stage.
