Vinícius has celebrated two Champions League titles with Madrid, scoring in both finals, along with three La Liga championships.
He expressed surprise at being named MVP of the match against Salzburg, stating, “I felt like I didn’t perform well in the first half. Rodrygo and Jude were deserving of it, along with many others. But I’m happy with the win and my goals, even if I didn’t play my best.”
Rodrygo also praised Bellingham after the England star set up the second goal with a clever backheel. “Playing with Jude is effortless due to his movements and passes,” Rodrygo noted. “That second assist was beautiful; I love partnering with him.”
Coach Carlo Ancelotti downplayed any concerns regarding a back injury for Bellingham, calling it “nothing special,” and emphasized that improving the team’s defense is his main focus.
“We have no doubts about our attacking players,” Ancelotti stated. “We’ll work on fixing the rest and aim to improve with each game. Our attacking efficiency is remarkable, but we need to address other areas, and overall, we’re in good form.”
