Rashford leaves Manchester United
“Aston Villa have agreed a loan deal for Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. The England striker, who has 60 caps for England, will join Villa on loan until the end of the season. Rashford can play in a variety of positions as he is versatile in,” Villa said in a statement.
According to The Athletic, Aston Villa will pay 75% of the England international’s £325,000-a-week salary, equivalent to £245,000-a-week. The remaining 25% will be paid by MU. The deal includes a £40 million buyout clause at the end of the season.
Villa could offer Rashford the chance to play in the Champions League. This would be in line with the 27-year-old’s priority of choosing a club capable of competing for titles and playing in the top flight.
If he cannot find a new destination, Rashord is at of “sitting out” for the rest of the season. Therefore, Villa is the last resort for Rashford.
Rashford has not played in Manchester United’s last 13 matches. He can only sit and watch the team to find a solution to the problem of the, sometimes from the bench. But coach Ruben Amorim still has not changed his opinion.
Rashford scored 138 goals in more than 400 matches for MU. During his career at the “Red Devils”, he won a Europa League title, 2 FA Cups and 2 League Cups. Rashford also scored 17 goals for England and participated in 2 World Cups as well as 2 Euro finals.
