Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham will not be available for the Copa del Rey quarter-final against Leganes

Ancelotti acknowledged the posed by Leganes, who have previously defeated both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona with goals from set pieces.

“The absence of Rudiger is significant, not only for set pieces. Leganes defends very well and has achieved great results against both Barca and Atletico by maintaining strong defensive play. We practiced set pieces in training this morning,” he said.

“Belingham has a bɾυιse after he received a knock, he will not be available tomorrow. Vinicius needed a little more recovery time, but he will be available for tomorrow.”

Kylian Mbappe, who was the victim of the challenge that caused such furore at Real Madrid with the refereeing, will also miss the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo remarked on Monday night that he considers himself the best player in history, a sentiment Ancelotti supported.

“For me, yes, he has been the best. His goals have also made it easier for me, allowing me to feel more relaxed on the bench at Real Madrid,” Ancelotti added.

Real Madrid will also be without Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba, both of whom sustained hamstring injuries in recent days, with expected recovery times of two to three weeks. This leaves Ancelotti with limited defensive options during a crucial stretch of matches. Given that both Mbappe and Bellingham are dealing with injuries, it is likely they will return for the Madrid derby on Saturday night.
