Veteran Austrian defender David Alaba has been ruled out of action again due to an injury to the adductor in his left leg

Real Madrid is set to face Leganes in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals on Wednesday, followed by a league derby against Atletico Madrid at home on Saturday, and then a trip to Manchester City for the Champions League knockout phase playoffs on February 11.

“After conducting tests, Real Madrid Medical Services have diagnosed David Alaba with an adductor injury in his left leg. His recovery will be closely monitored,” the club stated.

Currently, Madrid leads the LaLiga standings with 49 points from 22 matches, just one point ahead of second-placed Atletico.
