However, Real Madrid’s peers are now unhappy with the Florentino Perez-led entity. According to Diario AS, they are fed up with the pressure that referees are under from Los Blancos, especially through the infamous surveillance videos that were released on Real Madrid TV.
The report notes that Atletico Madrid and Sevilla, led by Miguel Angel Gil Marin and Jose Maria del Nido Carrasco, are the two clubs that have pushed the idea the most, while the rest of the clubs have also agreed, citing their stance that they are fed up with Real Madrid’s actions.
Sevilla have previously filed a complaint with the Federation over Real Madrid’s release of surveillance videos through their television channels, although to no avail. The club does not see itself doing anything wrong with this, which is why they have never relented despite the growing pressure from within Spanish football.
It will be interesting to see whether the Federation takes this further by prosecuting Real Madrid. It is clear that these videos are becoming a bigger problem in Spanish football.
