Liverpool star Mohamed Salah recently found himself on the receiving end of a light-hearted jab from teammate Cody Gakpo, who was named the Reds’ Player of the Month for January.

After Gakpo’s impressive performance, which included four goals and an assist in six matches, Salah smiled and congratulated him, despite missing out on his own fifth Player of the Month award due to Gakpo’s standout form.

Salah has been in exceptional shape this season, tallying an impressive 26 goals and 18 assists across all competitions. However, Gakpo’s rise as a key figure in the team has been undeniable, having started the last 12 Premier League matches.

His contributions included a brace and an assist in a dominant 4-1 victory over Ipswich, followed by a goal in a challenging 3-2 loss to PSV in the Champions League. Gakpo’s talents have shone both on and off the ball, further solidifying his role as a vital asset for Liverpool as they maintain their strong performance this season.
