Aurélien Tchouaméni ɾҽmains dissatisfied with his role at Real Madrid

Aurélien Tchouaméni Still Unhappy with His Position at Real Madrid

Aurélien Tchouaméni developed his skills at Girondins de Bordeaux and AS Monaco as a midfielder, but this season at Real Madrid, he has often found himself in a different role.

While he plays a vital holding midfield role for the French national team, Tchouaméni has frequently been deployed as a center-back for Los Blancos to fill gaps left by injured players. He has made 30 appearances for Real Madrid this season, but since early October, he has primarily played in defense due to serious injuries to Eder Militão, along with David Alaba and Antonio Rüdiger also being sidelined.

In the recent La Liga match against Manchester City, where Madrid won 3-2, Tchouaméni once again played in defense. However, he is not particularly fond of this position. When asked by Canal Plus if he is starting to enjoy playing as a center-back, he simply responded, “No, not at all.”
