The RFEF commented, stating: “Following the codes of good governance that direct the Royal Spanish Football Federation’s actions, the Regulatory Compliance Committee has begun an investigation into all information concerning referee José Luis Munuera Montero.”
This announcement came after Real Madrid executives visited RFEF headquarters to meet with refereeing officials and listen to audio recordings related to a formal complaint about another match—their 1-0 defeat against Espanyol on February 1.
Munuera’s Instagram message pointed out what he perceives as a “disproportionate on the refereeing community” recently, with him being the most recent target.
He stressed that Talentus Sports Speakers has not billed any sporting entities since its founding, focusing on helping athletes convey the values of sports through personal stories.
Munuera also mentioned that Talentus Sports Recruitment is designed to assist recent graduates in securing job opportunities without any financial compensation from organizations. He concluded by stating his intention to take civil and criminal action against media outlets that have disseminated false or misleading information that harms the reputation of referees.
