No player received more votes for FIFPro World XI than Jude Bellingham

Real Madrid and England midfielder Jude Bellingham is one of six nominees for the 2024 BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

Bellingham celebrated double success with Real Madrid at the end of last season, playing a crucial role in the club’s victories in both La Liga and the Champions League.

He scored a total of 23 goals, marking only the fifth time Madrid has been crowned both Spanish and European champions in the same season—a notable achievement considering they have 51 all-time wins across these competitions.

On the international front, Bellingham was part of the England team that reached the Euro 2024 final. He scored a remarkable overhead kick in stoppage time to avoid what seemed like a humiliating exit in the last 16 against Slovakia.

In October, Bellingham finished third in the Ballon d’Or voting, behind Rodri and Vinicius Junior, becoming the first English player to reach the top three since Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard in 2005. However, he did not attend the ceremony due to a boycott by Real Madrid.
