Real Madrid and England midfielder Jude Bellingham is among the six nominees for the 2024 BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
Bellingham enjoyed a successful end to last season with Real Madrid, playing a key role in their victories in both La Liga and the Champions League.
He scored 23 goals, marking only the fifth instance in which Madrid has been crowned Spanish and European champions in the same season—an impressive feat given their 51 total wins across these competitions.
Jude Bellingham earned more votes than any other star to be in FIFPRO’s 2024 World XI
Internationally, Bellingham was part of the England squad that reached the Euro 2024 final, scoring a stunning overhead kick in stoppage time to prevent a potential early exit against Slovakia in the last 16.
In October, Bellingham placed third in the Ballon d’Or voting, behind Rodri and Vinicius Junior, making him the first English player to break into the top three since Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard in 2005. He did not attend the ceremony due to a boycott by Real Madrid.
