The New York Daily News claims that Jay Z was the one who started the heated argument when two of Solange’s pals attempted to enter the after-party at The Standard hotel in Manhattan by claiming to be the rapper’s buddies. Jay Z revealed he was going to Rihanna’s party without Beyoncé, which prompted Solange to lash out at him after she asked that she, her famous sibling, and Jay Z leave the party.
According to a source, Solange’s friends “wouldn’t leave and kept bringing up Jay Z.” They pretended to be his guests rather than hers. Julius, Beyonce’s security, was approached by management, who informed him of the issue.
‘Don’t use my name,’ Jay Z yelled at Solange after quickly learning about it. Solange then said that she wanted to leave the party as a result of this.
According to a second insider, Jay Z stated on his way out that he would be going to Up & Down on West 14th Street, where Rihanna was hosting her own party following the Met Ball.
