Giannis Antetokounmpo, a part-owner of the Milwaukee Brewers, visited American Family Field to witness his older brother toss the first pitch and socialize with his team as the postseason approaches.
Prior to the Brewers’ game against the New York Mets on Friday, Thanasis Antetokounmpo made the ceremonial toss. Giannis brought his two sons, Liam and Maverick, to witness their uncle get the praise he and his family have earned in Milwaukee, making it a family event.
Despite not being on an NBA roster at the moment, Thanasis has established himself as a prominent figure in the podcasting community. He spent the previous five seasons with the Bucks. He joined his superstar brother on the 2021 championship squad.
About three years ago, Giannis, who recently got married, purchased a minority ownership in the Brewers.
He met Brewers rookie right fielder Jackson Chourio on Friday, who is another international sensation who is just starting to establish himself in the community.
The 20-year-old Venezuelan and the 29-year-old Greek posed for pictures that might one day be remembered as a historic meet-and-great that resulted in years of illustrious play and championship rings in Milwaukee.
Of course, we may hope.
The Brewers’ manager, Pat Murphy, who guided the team to a division title in his first season as manager, was among the players and staff whom Giannis interacted with.
The opponent and timing for the Brewers’ postseason opener on October 1st will be announced. On October 23, Giannis and the Bucks play the 76ers in Philadelphia to begin the regular season.
