Real Madrid Eyeing Alexis Mac Allister as Midfield Reinforcement
Liverpool’s dynamic midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has reportedly attracted the attention of Real Madrid as the Spanish giants look to bolster their central midfield. With legends Toni Kroos and Luka Modric nearing the twilight of their careers, Madrid is eager to secure a long-term replacement, and Mac Allister has emerged as a prime target.
The Argentine playmaker joined Liverpool in the summer of 2023 for an initial fee of £40 million, which could rise to £52 million based on performance-related clauses. Since then, he has become an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s squad, making 45 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals, and providing seven assists. His versatility and technical ability have made him a crucial link in Liverpool’s midfield.
Despite the growing interest from Madrid, Mac Allister remains committed to Liverpool. He recently stated, “I’m very happy at Liverpool”, reaffirming his focus on the club. However, reports suggest that his release clause is set at approximately £60 million, making a potential move feasible for any interested club.
While the Argentine international is under contract at Anfield until 2028, his future could depend on Liverpool’s direction under new head coach Arne Slot. As the summer of 2025 approaches, Real Madrid may intensify their pursuit to secure Mac Allister’s services for the next phase of their midfield evolution.
