Giannis Antetokounmpo reveals why he became a Bucks player in ‘The Marvellous Journey’ trailer

The Milwaukee Bucks player talked candidly about the impact of losing his father, Charles, to a heart attack in a trailer for the documentary “Giannis: The Marvelous Journey,” which was published on Wednesday.

According to Antetokounmpo, “I said, ‘I don’t wanna play no more,'”

But Antetokounmpo decided to stay in the game, and in 2021 he won an NBA championship with the Bucks.

In the trailer, he declares, “Go conquer the world, because we’re all going to die one day.”With interviews with Antetokounmpo and his entire family, as well as a number of prominent basketball figures, including former Bucks head coach Jason Kidd, Khris Middleton, Ernie Johnson, and others, “Giannis: The Marvelous Journey,” which premieres on Prime Video on Sunday, follows Antetokounmpo’s journey from his early years in Greece as the son of Nigerian immigrants to becoming one of the biggest stars in the NBA today.
