A few weeks following the band’s reunion, Linkin Park’s song “Heavy is the Crown” was released, thereby beginning the most recent phase of their existence. The song comes after the wildly popular “The Emptiness Machine,” which brought in new members and became an international sensation.
Although this frame represents the song’s first complete tracking week of availability, “Heavy is the Crown” is currently in its second week on several Billboard charts. The cut has soared on multiple lists, even returning the band to the top of certain rankings, now that fans have had a full seven days to purchase and stream it.
This week, Linkin Park’s new single vaults into the top 10 on two U.S. charts. “Heavy is the Crown” almost joins the group’s expanding list of monarchs as it soars from No. 12 to the runner-up position on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs list. On the Hot Alternative Songs list, the identical cut moves up from No. 14 to No. 8.
Linkin Park has achieved half a dozen top 10s on the Hot Alternative Songs chart, which lists the most popular alternative-only songs in America, during their years as a worldwide prominent band. On the hard rock streaming roster, “Heavy is the Crown” is their seventh visit to the top tier.
“Heavy is the Crown” also finds a place inside the competitive region on four additional lists as it breaks into the top 10 for the first time on those two charts. Even though it appears on multiple lists, the band’s most current single, which debuted in the top 10 last frame, is still doing incredibly well on all of them.
“Heavy is the Crown” is now the number one song on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales and Hot Hard Rock Songs charts. On the Alternative Digital Song Sales list, it ranks fourth, while on the Rock Digital Song Sales list, it ranks seventh. On both of those later lineups, Linkin Park’s current emphasis started the previous term in third place.
On three more Billboard charts, the single came very close to making the top 10. In addition to debuting at No. 11 on the Alternative Streaming singles list, “Heavy is the Crown” also gains the same ranking on the Hot Rock Songs and the Billboard Global Excl. US charts, which track the world’s most successful singles outside of the United States. The new Linkin Park hit may easily climb to the top of any of those rankings in the upcoming weeks, particularly as anticipation for the group’s upcoming album From Zero grows.
