On Chester Bennington’s 46th birthday, his widow has paid her respects to the Linkin Park frontman.
Before the musician committed suicide in 2017, Talinda, who had been married to him for 11 years, wrote a letter to her Instagram fans honoring him.
She shared a picture of Bennington holding a gift and celebrating a previous birthday, writing: “Happy Birthday, my love! We really do miss you.
“They say you get used to the pain, but it doesn’t get any easier. I don’t know if I think that at all.
“This kind of grief cannot be adapted to. I’m trying my hardest to raise our children the way we’ve always discussed.
“Walking without you is so difficult since you were my other half. We’re celebrating you today because I love you.”
Together, the couple produced three kids: twin daughters Lily and Lila, and a son named Tyler Lee.
On July 20, 2017, Bennington, 41, was discovered dead at his Los Angeles residence. Later, a coroner determined that he had committed suicide.
Prior to his passing, the Grammy Award-winning artist battled substance abuse and depression.
After Linkin Park’s death, the 1996 Los Angeles band took a break, but they have since started working on new music.
Talinda, a former Playboy model, started the non-profit organization 320 Changes Direction and is now a mental health advocate.
She declared her engagement in September 2019, referring to her new boyfriend solely as Michael F. However, according to US media, she filed for divorce after just one year of marriage.
