On Friday, July 16, Space Jam: A New Legacy will debut simultaneously on HBO Max and in cinemas across the United States.
Leading man LeBron James made it a family event by attending the live-action/animated sports comedy’s world premiere at the Regal Cinemas L.A. Live in Los Angeles, four days before its domestic release.
James plays a fictionalized version of himself in the eagerly anticipated sequel to Space Jam (1996), which starred Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player of all time.
With a black dress shirt, tie, and dress shoes, James, 36, looked sharp in a fitting dark blue suit.
It was appropriate for him to wear his world championship ring, which he recently earned with the LA Lakers last summer, given that he is appearing in a basketball-themed movie.
His wife, who has been married for almost eight years, looked stunning in a green dress with no shoulders that highlighted her feminine features.
.
She completed her look with long, dark hair that was pushed back from her face and emerald strappy shoes.
With her raven hair that had plenty of natural curls and a right side part, the couple’s only daughter looked gorgeous in a baby blue flowery frock that hung just past her knees and was accessorized with clear sandals.
The Jameses also have two kids, LeBron Jr., also called Bronny, who is sixteen, and Bryce, who is fourteen, though it doesn’t seem like they were there for the occasion.
Along with co-stars Don Cheadle, Cedric Joe, Sonequa Martin-Green, Ceyair Wright, and Harper Alexander, James, a four-time NBA champion, also shared the limelight on the red carpet with director Malcom D. Lee.
John Legend, who is a musician, occasionally joined in to pose for the photographers.
.
Zendaya, Jeff Bergman, and Eric Bauza are part of the Looney Tunes voice cast, while James, Cheadle, Martin-Green, and Khris Davis play the main live-action parts in the movie.
The film, which was produced by James’ SpringHill Entertainment company, revolves around a high-stakes inter-dimensional basketball game in which James and the Looney Tunes characters must compete in order to save his son from a malicious computer code.
The movie features cameos from WNBA players Diana Taurasi, Nneka Ogwumike, and Chiney Ogwumike as well as NBA players Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, Chris Paul, and Kyle Kuzma.
