Vinícius Júnior has officially etched his name into Real Madrid history as the club’s highest-scoring Brazilian player—surpassing the legendary Ronaldo Nazário, who netted 104 goals during his time at the Bernabéu.
The historic moment came in the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinal against Arsenal, where Vinícius scored his 105th goal for Los Blancos. At just 23 years old, and having joined the club in July 2018, he continues to prove that he’s not only the future of Real Madrid, but a vital part of its present.
“I’m very happy to have reached 100 goals wearing this shirt,” Vinícius shared previously.“The Brazilian with the most goals, Ronaldo, is now only three goals away from me. It is my goal to continue and usher in a new era with our club.”
Now beyond that milestone, Vinícius sits on the cusp of another one—just one goal shy of matching Gareth Bale’s total of 106 goals for the club.
Though he didn’t mention Cristiano Ronaldo in his recent comments, the parallels are naturally beginning to draw themselves as the Brazilian winger racks up goals, trophies, and highlight-reel moments at an astounding pace.
So far, his career with Real Madrid includes an incredible 14 trophies, including:
🏆 2 UEFA Champions League titles
🏆 3 La Liga titles
🏆 A host of other domestic and international accolades
Vinícius’s rise continues to be meteoric. As Real Madrid looks ahead, it’s clear: he’s not just following in the footsteps of legends—he’s becoming one.
