Jurgen Klopp’ready to initiate talks with Real Madrid’ as Carlo Ancelotti is poised to quit following Arsenal’s defeat

JURGEN KLOPP is reportedly “ready” to take charge at Real Madrid with Carlo Ancelotti expected to exit the Bernabeu before the current season ends.

Klopp is said to be “unhappy” in his new role at Red Bull after stepping down as Liverpool manager last season following a successful nine-year tenure.

The German tactician is now being tipped for a return to the touchline.

Klopp was named Red Bull’s Global Head of Football just months after leaving Anfield last May.

But now, under a year into that executive role, Klopp is open to discussions with Madrid, with a view to returning to management in July, according to Spanish source UOL Esporte.

He might be in luck, as Ancelotti is preparing for his second departure from Madrid.

According to Sky Sports, the Italian is set to leave after the Copa final against Barcelona—despite five LaLiga matches still to play.

Ancelotti hinted at his departure following Madrid’s 5-1 aggregate Champions League defeat to Arsenal.

“I might be replaced. Maybe this year, maybe next when my deal ends,” said Ancelotti.

“But whatever happens, I’ll be grateful. It could be tomorrow, in a month, or next year. My contract status doesn’t matter.”

“We’ve seen good times and won trophies, but we also face hard times.”

Arsenal crushed Madrid 5-1 over two legs in the quarter-final.
