The Brazilian forward has instead agreed to a new deal with Real Madrid that will see him earning €100m over the next five years.

Despite being offered a €1 billion (£846 million) contract from Saudi officials running until 2030, Vinicius has committed to staying with Los Blancos.

According to AS, the deal will be signed at the end of the season, likely before the Club World Cup.

Vinicius’s new contract will take effect immediately, rather than in 2027 when his current one expires.

The winger will earn a staggering £17m per year after tax once he agrees to the new terms.

This amount, however, is just the base salary for the former Flamengo star. The new contract includes major add-ons based on goals and trophies.

A key feature of the deal is a Ballon d’Or clause, which could see him earning an additional £1.7m if he secures the prestigious award.

This will make him Real Madrid’s highest-paid player, surpassing Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham.

Vinicius narrowly missed out on last season’s Ballon d’Or to Rodri of Manchester City, prompting Real Madrid to boycott the Paris event, arguing that their star man deserved the award over the Spanish international.
